The Alps, by covering an area of 200,000 km² in the middle of Europe, spread over eight countries: France, Italy, the Principality of Monaco, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Germany, Austria and Slovenia.

Their territorial importance in history, culture and multifarious lifestyles makes them particularly interesting, and you can discover all this by a massive network of local and national excursion paths meant for any level hikers.

The idea of the project comes from the French Association La Grande Traversée des Alpes.

With 17 huts concerned, Trentino too will host two stages of this great crossing and some of its most exacting variations
