Antermoia lake with its clear and limpid waters is the only Alpine lake of Catinaccio group, and “Antermoia” is one of the Rosengarten nymphs’ name who teem the legends of the Ladin tradition. The hut provides 38 beds. The hut is an overnight base for Via Alpina international tour and is opened at least from 20 June to 20 September.
To arrive: from Mazzin di Fassa through Val Udài Valley and Passo di Dona Pass (path n. 580, time needed: 3 h. 30 min.). From Gardeccia, going up till Principe Pass and Antermoia Pass (paths n. 546, 584, time needed: 3 h. 30 min.), or from Fontanazzo on path n. 577 Via Alpina (4 hours).
Recommended routes: crossing Larsec plateau, you can go down to Gardeccia taking path n. 583, called “Delle Scalette”, towards Passo di Lausa Pass and Passo delle Scalette Pass.
In Val Duròn Valley, through Passo di Dona Pass and Passo delle Ciaregole Pass (path n. 578, 2 hours).
Antermoia peak (3002 m) on Catinaccio, is to be reached by climbing an iron route on the eastern side (path n. 585, 2 h. 30 min.), or by passing through Antermoia Pass (2769 m) on path n. 584, which leads you to Passo Principe Hut (2601 m) and eventually to Vaiolet Hut.
