“Val De Dona” Valley is a Val di Fassa side valley which makes its way towards Catinaccio Group from Campestrin hamlet. In origin the hut was one of the typical Alpine huts for summer pasturing. In summer 2004 the hut is meant to undergo important restoration works that will turn it soon into a jewel for the walkers who would hike up the uncontaminated and picturesque Val De Dona Valley. Going further up, you get to Antermoia Hut (1 h. 50 min.).

To arrive: by a mule track leaving from Campestrin hamlet (right above the built-up area), in 2 hours and 45 minutes. From Mazzin, on path n. 580, or from Val d’Udai Valley, in about 2 hours and 50 minutes. From Fontanazzo, on path n. 577 Via Alpina, (base of the path: right above the church), in 2 hours and 50 minutes. Or across Val Duron Valley (from Campitello), in about 3 hours. Recommended routes: crossing Larsec plateau, you can go down to Gardeccia taking path n. 583, called “Delle Scalette”, towards Passo di Lausa Pass and Passo delle Scalette Pass. In Val Duròn Valley, through Passo di Dona Pass and Passo delle Ciaregole Pass (path n. 578, 2 hours). Antermoia peak (3002 m) on Catinaccio, is to be reached by climbing an iron route on the eastern side (path n. 585, 2 h. 30 min.), or by passing through Antermoia Pass (2769 m) on path n. 584, which leads you to Passo Principe Hut (2601 m) and eventually to Vaiolet Hut.
